Getting excited for this Saturday, when the Solstice Committee puts on a bunch of awesome fun for kids, to raise money for more awesome fun at the kids’ tent at Solstice Fest. Check it out: Starting at noon at the Waterfront Park, it’s relay games, a dunk tank, a cake walk, and Michigan-made hot dogs and soda. Plus a *petting zoo*. We’re not sure yet who’s signed on to get dunked. Perhaps one of the sheriff candidates?

In Culture Bluffs, Education, Kid Stuff on May 10, 2012 at 10:53 amTonight! Spring Band Concert at 7 pm at the Franfort–Elberta High School cafetorium. The elementary 5&6 graders will open the show, making their debut performance, followed by the junior high band, then the high school band. Featuring songs from Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Anastasia, and some oldies but goodies. Arrive slightly early for a seat—this event is usually standing room only.
